Nita Kaufman
Graphic Artist/ Designer
NITA KAUFMAN
Nita Kaufman is a Graphic Artist/Designer at DMD who has been involved in the graphics field for 30+ years. She is currently enrolled in the Graphic Design certificate program at DCAD (Delaware College of Art and Design) in Wilmington to keep her skills up to date. She has a B.A. in Art from the University of Maryland and has taken various art-related classes from Montgomery Junior College and George Washington University since graduation.
Nita is a Washington, D.C. native who moved to Kentucky eighteen years ago after her husband took a teaching position at the University of Kentucky. She too worked for the University for fifteen years as a Graphic Artist & Multimedia Specialist. Upon returning to the east coast and moving to Delaware, she continued working long-distance for the University of Kentucky and eventually took a local job at DMD.
Nita is an avid bead artist who produces a wide variety of sewn seed bead jewelry and has sold many pieces in Kentucky, Florida, California, and locally in Delaware. Her hobbies also include cooking, painting (the art-type, definitely NOT houses), growing & eating tomatoes, and taking care of the men in her life: amazing professor hubby Stuart and her brilliant son Sam.
